Where your data lives

On your premises, not ours

Every DAXPOS installation stores its database directly on the server or terminal you designate — inside your shop, office, or head-office server room. We don't route your transaction data through our own cloud servers by default.

If you choose the optional web portal for remote monitoring, only the specific reports you enable are synced — your full transactional database is never required to leave your premises.

How it's protected

Encryption, access control, and a full audit trail

Encryption

Sensitive fields, including customer and payment-related records, are encrypted at rest in the local database, and connections between terminals and your local server are encrypted in transit.

User access controls

Role-based permissions mean cashiers, managers, and owners each see only what their role requires — a cashier can't export the customer database, for instance.

Audit trails

Every price override, refund, deletion, and user login is logged with a timestamp and user ID — so any unusual activity can always be traced back to a specific person and moment.

Backup options

Choose scheduled local backups, backups to your own external drive or NAS, or optional encrypted off-site cloud backup — your choice, your retention policy.

No lock-in

What happens if you stop using DAXPOS?

Because your database lives on your own hardware, nothing about your data access is tied to an active DAXPOS subscription or support contract. If you ever choose to stop using DAXPOS:

Your existing database and all historical records remain fully intact and accessible on your own server

You can export sales, inventory, and customer data at any time in standard formats

There is no remote kill-switch that disables your installed software

This is a direct consequence of the on-premise, one-time-licence model — not a special exception we make for enterprise accounts.
